Purposes

    Vaess processes your personal data in order to deliver the goods and services you have requested or to be able to purchase goods and services from you.

    Vaess also uses your personal data to keep you informed of other products, available services and its business relations. Vaess may also contact you via surveys to ask your opinion about existing services or about possible new services.

    You can sign up for our newsletters via our website.

Vaess uses only technical and functional cookies, as well as analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file which is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit this website for the first time. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and for your convenience. They ensure that the website works as it should and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. They also allow us to optimize our website. You can unsubscribe from cookies by configuring your internet browser so that it does not store cookies anymore. Principles
Vaess will only process personal data if there is a legal basis for this, as prescribed in the General Data Protection Regulation. The following bases apply:

    This applies to personal data that we process from you in order to perform our services and to be able to provide you with goods and services.
  2. Legitimate interest
    Vaess has a legitimate interest in acquiring customers and maintaining relationships and, in this connection, collecting their personal data
  3. Consent of data subjects
    In order to send out newsletters, in some cases we require your prior consent, for example if you are not yet registered with us. It is always possible to withdraw your permission. You can easily unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the newsletter.
  4. Compliance with legal obligations
    Vaess must process personal data because of a number of legal obligations, such as the tax retention obligation.

Third parties
The information you provide to us is in principle not shared with third parties. We will share your information, albeit limited, with our cooperation partners such as web applications, transporters and ICT parties which we use for our services. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, we may work together with subcontractors. These data will only be used for the purpose of the service and will not be distributed further. Furthermore, in some cases the information may be shared internally. Our employees are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data. For parties who work together with us, proper agreements have been made about their obligations and powers and, if applicable, we have recorded these in (processing) agreements.

In addition, we may provide personal data to a third party, such as a supervisor or other body entrusted with public authority, insofar as there is a legal obligation to do so.

Vaess will never publish your personal data without informing you, except when legally obliged to do so.

Security of your personal data
Vaess has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data as much as possible against loss, unlawful use, the unlawful processing of your personal data by others and also to prevent access to your personal data by unauthorised persons. Vaess secures the personal data you provide on computer servers in a controlled and secure environment. The data is protected against unauthorised access, unauthorised use or unauthorised publication. When personal data (such as credit card numbers) is transmitted to other websites, it is always protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, which encrypts all sensitive information before it is sent. How long does Vaess retain your personal data?
Vaess does not retain your data any longer than is necessary to achieve its objectives.
The retention period for our records is seven years, in accordance with the legal requirement. This includes the agreements concluded with you and the period starts after the agreement has ended.
When you send us an e-mail, the data you send us will be kept as long as the nature of your e-mail requires for a complete response and handling.
The personal data that we have processed within the framework of the execution of the agreement will be kept for 7 years, insofar as these data fall under our administration obligation;
Data for marketing activities are kept for a maximum of 5 years, after contact has been made in the context of offering products or services.

Inspection, amendment, blocking of personal data or a complaint
If you would like to know what personal data Vaess collects and uses from you, you can submit a request to this end. You also have the right:

  • To correct or delete your personal data;
  • To withdraw your consent to data processing
  • To object to the processing of your personal data by Vaess;
  • On data portability; this means that you can request us to send the personal data we have in electronic form to you or another organisation named by you.

If, despite our efforts, you believe that we process your personal data in a negligent or unlawful manner, or that we do not sufficiently respond to your request, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority and file a complaint. Of course, we hope that you will first turn to us, so that we can resolve the matter as best as possible.

Every now and then, Vaess will update this Privacy Statement in order to incorporate feedback received from businesses and customers.
